I spent over a year collecting nearly 430 Barbara Cartland books
Hundreds of wasted hours hunting down books!
THOUSANDS of pounds! THOUSANDS! No lie
And look!
JUST FUCKING LOOK!!!!
320 Barbara Cartlands!!! In ONE FUCKING LOT!!!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooo
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUCkk!!!!!!
LOOK AT THE PRICE!!! ARRRRRRRRGHHHHH
(Can you tell by my haphazard capitals just how distraught I am?)
On a happier note – I’d never go to Basildon Essex to pick it up.
Update:
Eventually sold for just £37 pounds.
Sigh.
Still, I really would never go to Basildon Essex to pick it up.
Also the ex would have killed me if I bought 300 books in one go.

Looks like shipping would jack the price up a bit.
We’ve all had our moment of derangement on ebay. Fortunately I’ve forgotten all about all that . . .
Well I think the price will go up a lot in the last 5 minutes. But the pick up only will kill a lot of people bidding.
Poor Barbara, whoever she is. To the writer, that must feel quite crappy. I mean, kindling would cost more.
Just think of yourself as a big-time supporter of the arts. Good karma. You will be rewarded.
Poor Barbara!? Poor! She’s the leading author of trashy, non-sexual romance novels. Her books have sold…i dont know .. millions of copies. She sure ain’t poor!
She’s dead and she still seems to be churning them out.
You have to admit, it’s much more fun to get the BC books a few at a time. That’s what I’m doing now and it so exciting to get a book in the mail and read it that evening.
This is 100% true. And i was just thinking that. I bought 2 big lots and although that was really exciting I like getting a book trickle in every now and then.
