I dragged the ex with me to the Kensington Doll festival in, well, Kensington.
The town hall to be precise.
The lighting was terrible, (it was in the basement) and the background for many of the shots is the horrible 1950’s brick wall. Prison chic.
However the miniatures were amazing and most people were happy to let you take photos as long as you asked. (Only a few were really secretive. Not sure why, most everyone else had pride.)
There are a lot of photos.
I find it hard to cull photos of tiny mini things.
So frickkin cute.
I really want to get a doll’s house, but frankly the prices. My god, the prices.
I can’t even afford real furniture.

Loved these carnivore plants
A Vampire Man. A friendly vampire.
Dolls’ houses: it’s a small world
The article that prompted me to go. I totally agree about the dolls houses house never have a doll in them.
The doll ruins the illusion created in this small world.
I should also add that not everything was expensive. There were many small items like tiny pink lollies (as small as a baby’s finger nail) and miniature wine glasses selling for 50p-£1.
